Dean's Council of Alumni

The Dean's Council of Alumni was formed in 2003 by Dean Frank Patterson in an effort to create a body of industry professionals covering a wide variety of the industry's aspects (i.e. Directing, Producing, Mangement, Screenwriting, Development, etc.) who would be concerned with and avaiable to the FSU Film School. The DCA are consulted on matters of student work assessment, Film School curriculum, mentoring and networking.

Warren Reports

Film School Alumni Director Meryl Warren publishes a weekly report each Thursday describing the current events in and out of the Film School. It includes an update on what is happening around Tallahassee in filmmaking, an alumni update, and most importantly, the latest information on films on the festival circuit, including all screenings and awards.

Assessment

Each year industry professionals evaluate current student work to provide valuable feedback to our filmmakers. This feedback is also used to identify areas of our curriculum that are in need of improvement, as well as to confirm those areas in which we provide excellent instruction.
